Round Hill Music and Gerencia 360 Music drop web-scraping company Bright Data from their Suno training suits, leaving Suno as the only defendant in both cases
On Oct. 19, 2026, the plaintiffs in both related suits before Judge Rita Lin filed one-page notices under Rule 41(a)(1)(A)(i) voluntarily dismissing Bright Data Ltd. and Bright Data, Inc. without prejudice. Round Hill Music and its royalty funds sued Suno and Bright Data on Aug. 17, 2026, and Gerencia 360 Music, a regional Mexican label represented by the same lawyers (Richard Busch of Adams & Reese), followed on Aug. 31; the court related the two cases on Oct. 9. Bright Data is a web-data collection company. The notices give no reason for the dismissal and do not mention any settlement; because it is without prejudice, the plaintiffs could sue Bright Data again. The claims against Suno over the use of the plaintiffs' recordings and compositions to train its music models continue unchanged.

What the labels mean
Every item says what kind of source it rests on. A court ruling or order is the court's own statement. A company filing is what a defendant says about itself. A government filing is a statement by a government agency that is not a party to the case, such as a statement of interest; it is the government's position, not a ruling. An allegation is what a complaint or motion claims and has not been decided. Reported means press reporting we have not confirmed from the primary document. Summaries are our own; follow the links for the source.
This page is general information, not legal advice. An allegation is not a finding. Whether any of this matters for a particular work or claim is a question for a lawyer.
