Refund Policy

Effective September 27, 2026.

Each Author Presence Report is generated and delivered in full the moment payment clears, so it cannot be "returned". We will nevertheless refund a purchase in these cases, on request to support@payauthors.com within 14 days of purchase:

• the report page or the files never became available to you, and we could not fix it within two business days of your telling us;
• the PDF or CSV is technically unusable (for example, corrupt or empty when the free check showed records);
• the report is materially not as described on the site;
• you were charged more than once for the same search.

We do not refund because the results were not what you hoped for, because a common name returned other people's works, because a spelling or pen name you did not search is missing, or because the datasets (a June 2021 LibGen snapshot, the published Books3 list, and Copyright Office registrations to July 2021) do not contain a work you believe should be there. The free check exists precisely so that you can see the counts before you pay.

Refunds go back to the card used, through Stripe, normally within 5–10 business days. Please quote the report ID (on the report page and in the PDF) or the e-mail address you used at checkout.
